Many of the most popular Skyrim mods (e.g., SkyUI, Requiem, Frostfall) required specific patch versions. For a period in 2013-2014, v1.8 and v1.9 were the standard. Mod authors would often state: “Requires Skyrim version 1.9.32.0 or higher.”
