If you lose your phone and don't have your emergency code, go to the login page on SWTOR.com, leave the security key field blank, and click "Lost your Security Key?" to begin the automated email removal process.
The app (formerly by BioWare, now largely replaced or unsupported on many modern phones) works via time-based one-time password (TOTP) authentication. After linking the app to your SWTOR account, the app generates a new 6–8 digit code every 30–60 seconds. You must enter your username, password, and the current code each time you log in to the game or the website. This adds two-factor authentication (2FA) to prevent unauthorized access.
