One of Castillo's most notable films was "Mga Ibibigay ng Diyos" (1982), directed by Mel Chionglo. The movie told the story of a woman who becomes embroiled in a struggle against corrupt government officials and multinational corporations. Castillo's portrayal of the protagonist earned her a FAM (Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences) Award for Best Actress.
