One day, while traveling, he meets a group of Maoists who are planning a heist. Unbeknownst to them, Hemant is around and gets caught up in their plans.

: Vishwas Rao (Shahid Kapoor) dreams of becoming a Bollywood superstar, but his mother, Savitri (Padmini Kolhapure), is determined to see him become an honest police officer. While in Mumbai for "police training," Vishwas is mistaken for a real cop by social worker Kajal (Ileana D'Cruz) during a photo shoot. This leads to a series of comedic misunderstandings where he must maintain a double life to satisfy his mother’s dreams while pursuing his own.
