In the present day, we meet Jack , a young, poor farmhand living with his uncle. Jack is a dreamer who loves the old legends. One day, while in town to sell his horse, a monk desperately begs Jack to take a small bag of beans in exchange for the horse. The monk warns him that these are sacred relics and must never get wet.
