PHP 8.1 introduced significant changes to the Zend Engine (the core of PHP). This forced ionCube to update their encryption methods and loaders to remain compatible. These structural changes in the engine made previous reverse-engineering attempts on older loaders obsolete. The new loaders are optimized to prevent memory dumping and tampering.

ionCube works by compiling PHP into optimized bytecode and then encrypting it. The ionCube Loader handles the decryption and execution in real-time on your server.

Official "ionCube Decoder" software for PHP 8.1 does not exist, as only provides an Encoder for protection and a Loader for execution. The official ionCube Loader for PHP 8.1 (introduced in version 12) is the only legitimate tool for running files encoded with ionCube.

The request for a "full" ionCube decoder for PHP 8.1 cannot be fulfilled. The technology has matured beyond the capabilities of public decoding tools.
