The story picks up with the team framed for a crime they didn't commit. Following the events of The Rise of Cobra , the G.I. Joe team faces its greatest betrayal. Framed for a crime they didn’t commit, the Joes are hunted by the U.S. government, which has been infiltrated by the terrorist organization Cobra. With most of the team wiped out in a catastrophic attack, surviving members—Roadblock (Dwayne Johnson), Lady Jaye (Adrianne Palicki), and Flint (D.J. Cotrona)—must go rogue. They team up with the original G.I. Joe, General Joseph Colton (Bruce Willis), to clear their names, stop Cobra’s plan for world domination, and rescue their imprisoned leader, Duke (Channing Tatum).
