The narrative leans heavily into Isaac’s deteriorating mental state. Due to the influence of the Markers, Isaac (and Carver, if playing co-op) suffers from intense hallucinations. Players experience overlapping realities—one moment you are fighting a real enemy, the next you are fighting a phantom. It is a gameplay mechanic that hasn't been utilized this effectively since the eerie opening of Dead Space 2 .
If Awakened does not appear, navigate to the install folder and run DS3_Awakened_Activator.exe (usually inside _Crack folder).
Update 1.0.0.1 is for Awakened to work. If you already have the DLC running fine, you can skip this update without losing anything.
